#HeyFrancis | Just a week ago today, I had the pleasure of visiting Napa Valley, CA for the first time and capturing this beautiful engagement session with my good friend Ashir and his fiancé Emily. I was so surprised to see the remarkable change in colors reminding me of my childhood home of Indianapolis, IN. So grateful being a part of their journey and super excited to be photographing their wedding in August 2019 in Sacramento, CA. Thanks for following the journey and hope you enjoy this gallery!
#HeyFrancis | Yesterday, the crew and I explored LA to grab some b-roll 🎥 for a New Balance lifestyle project we’ve been working on. Had a great time flying the drone 🚁, learning about what it takes to make a living shooting photography here in LA, and getting a feel for the next steps I plan to take as a photographer - lifestyle shooting. Hope the LA vibes find you well and much more to come ;)
#HeyFrancis | This has been a intense week for me to say the least - so many revelations, a few heartbreaks, and still recovering from my knee injury in the Philippines. In the midst of all the stress and confusion, I'm so grateful for photography. More than just art, it acts as meditation for me - allowing me the chance to escape reality, even just briefly, to capture a glimpse of light and beauty in what can often seem like such a dark and somber world. Here's a shot I captured this evening as I watched the sunset reflecting off the Westin in Downtown Los Angeles. S/o to the homie Christine who's celebrating her 28th Birthday today - this one's for you!
Gear: Canon 5D Mark III, 24-70mm f/2.8L Mark II Lens, Amazon Basics Travel Tripod, ZOMEI Variable ND Filter

#HeyFrancis | I've learned that life takes you to some pretty amazing please when you simply go with the flow. After a long stint in LA traffic on our way to pick up some filming equipment, we plotted on our return home when GPS indicated a few accidents on the way. If you know anything about accidents in LA, they create an even more ridiculous amount of additional traffic that could have you pulling your hair out. Amazingly, we stumbled upon a skatepark immediately after and decided to take a brief detour. With a few shots captured along with making a few new friends, we hit the highway on our way back home. Traffic avoided :)
Thanks for following the journey!
#HeyFrancis | A couple weekends back, I was privileged to shoot my first "Debut" for an amazing young lady by the name of Kammi. Similar to a Quinceañera in the Latin American community, a Debut signifies a Filipino woman's transition from childhood into womanhood. Going in I didn't know anyone nor what to expect, but by the end of the evening I left out feeling like I was part of the family. As traditional in Philippine Debuts, the program included the "18 Roses", "18 Treasures", and "18 Candles" presentations with a variety of performances in between.
I have to give a big shout out to my man Manny (the DJ) for acting as the host and MC for the event (his link --> www.musicalcreationsdjservice.com). All in all, Kammi's debut was full of life, laughter, and plenty of fun. A special thank you goes out to Kammi's mother, Miss Joanne, for if not for her, this exciting and memorable evening would not have been possible. Connect with me today if you're looking for photographer for your next "Debut"! Thanks for following the journey, and I hope these photos find you well.
