Freezing Man 2016: Joshua Tree National Park - Day 1

#HeyFrancis | Last year my family and friends traveled out and experienced New Year at Zion National Park in Utah.  To carry on the #FreezingMan tradition, the squad came together and concluded that Joshua Tree National Park would be a perfect fit.  Patrick and I took off a day early, on the 29th, to locate the best possible camping spot for our group.  To our surprise the entire park was full; crap.  We left the park to regain signal and stopped at a ranger station to see what we could do.  THERE WERE SPOTS AVAILABLE, but dang it, they were 30 miles away lol.  

After a beautiful drive through the park we finally arrived at our spot at the Cottonwood Springs Campground; it was perfect.  Pat and I proceeded to set up shop before sundown and we were in business :) . There was absolutely no signal in the park to hit up our friends, so we took another small trip near the exit of the park to connect with our friends.  We headed back, cracked open a few Tecates, and Freezing Man 2016 began.  AJ and Nikki pulled up soon after, and it was on!  More photos to come here, the Hey Francis!
