I was a little hesitant about using Thumbtack but was pleasantly surprised about the whole experience because of Mike's professionalism from beginning to end. His initial quote was clear and he provided many opportunities to view his work and comment on the shoot style we were looking for.
At the beginning of the shoot, Mike formally introduced himself and again gave us an opportunity to talk about what we were hoping for. He made us feel very comfortable and in turn he was able to capture those special moments in between the posing. His attention to detail and ability to engage our 1 year old daughter was exactly what we looking for.

The experience I had with Hey Francis! Photography was nothing short of amazing. Michael Francis is a phenomenal photographer. I live in NY and was visiting family in LA and wanted to surprise them with a family photo session. From first contact Mike was professional, personable and reliable. He met us at my family's home promptly at the scheduled time, energized and ready to create beautiful memories. We went to a local park for the shoot. From the moment we arrived Mike was already in the zone instructing us on where to stand and how to move. He was amazing with the children and kept the adults laughing and engaged. It was easy to see that Mr. Francis truly loves what he does, and how that love is expressed in his work. Mike from Hey Francis! Photography came to our Christmas party at Camp Run-A-Mutt South Bay to take holiday pictures of people and their pups. He was there and set up his area ahead of time. He was able to edit and print photos on the spot which the customers loved. He worked very well with the people, kids AND dogs and was very professional and outgoing. Mike was awesome! I didn't even get to meet with him to tell him what I needed before my daughter's party but he was able to capture the special night. You can really feel how happy my daughter was that night just by looking at the pictures and you can tell how much fun everyone had. A picture is worth a thousand words and he took so many great ones. I'm about to post the pictures he took but there's too many too choose from. I still can't decide which ones to post. We hired Mike to do an engagement photo shoot. Mike was responsive, prompt and took the time to get to know us before starting so he could capture our personalities.
